He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Belt and Mary Issac Belt; his brothers, Don Belt and John Belt; his grandson Brandon Belt; and his great grandchild Celeste Anne Brady.
He is survived by: his wife Cherry Mace Belt of Colmesneil; his sons, Derek Belt (Yolanda) of Winnie and Lance Belt of Silsbee; his stepchildren, John Miller (Stacie) of Deville, LA, Larry Porter of Colorado, Patsy Miller LeDoux (Keith) of Nederland and Sharon Conner Rucker (Josh) of Maryville, LA; his daughter-in-law Susie Belt of Jasper; his grandchildren, Zach Belt, Jessica Belt Zieglers (Ryan) of College Station, Keisha Guinn (Cameron) of Houston, Amanda Brady (Ryan) of Lumberton, Shannon Blackwell (Colt) of Lumberton and Adrianna Miller of Wildwood; and his great grandchildren, Ava Thomas, Chole Thomas, Vivian Guinn, Preston Guinn, Lillian Brady, Walker Blackwell and Reagan Blackwell.

Funerals are currently a public event being held during the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
