He was predeceased by: his parents, Essie Day Havard and Odis Havard; his siblings, Ruth Boles and Glen Havard; and the mother of his children Donna Sue Havard.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Havard of Colmesneil; his children, Tamishea Contreras (Pierre) of Bullard, Jessica Primm (John) of Woodville, Payton Havard of Quinlan and Anthony Yarbrough of Franklin, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Lane River Havard, Tristen Shewmake, Landyn Evans and Skylar Primm; his siblings, Burlin (Doris Havard) of Lufkin and Shirley Pyburn of Lufkin; and his close friends, Donnie Puckett, Billy Patton and Steve Chalendar. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
