It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Johnston of Colmesneil, Texas, who passed away on July 16, 2020, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Shorty" and Lillian Ross; and her siblings, John "Tooter" Ross and Wanda Carol Ross. She is survived by: her husband Marvin Johnston of Colmesneil; her children, Jeanie DuBose (John) of Colmesneil, James "Jamie" Sowell (Elizabeth) of Houston, Justin and Rodney Jared Sowell of Colmesneil; her stepchildren, Christie Aguirre (Anthony) of Houston, Misti Johnston (Oscar) of Houston, Tonya Baker (Gary) of Tennessee Colony and Rodney Johnston (Hailley) of Houston; her siblings, James "Buckshot" Ross (Tessey) of Colmesneil, Glenn Ross (Joanna) of Brookeland, Billy Ross of Colmesneil and Ruby Combs (A. C.) of Colmesneil; and her close friend Wanda Peterson. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
