He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pelzel and Annie Pelzel (Blumberg); his wife Sondra Gail Green; and his siblings, Eugene, Ronnie, Johnny, William and Margaret Ann Marcus.
He is survived by: his children, Russell James Pelzel (Renee) of Collinsville, Kelea Ann Pelzel of Collinsville and Janet Renee Adams (Pelzel) of Choctaw, OK; his grandchildren, Jarrett, Taylor, Connor Pelzel, Morghan, Nicole, Erin Tischler, Avril and Asher Adams; his great grandchild Haven Grace Pyle; and his siblings, Evelyn Walterscheid, Marilyn Weber, Jenny Dennis and Harold Pelzel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
