He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Juan Chavez and Chona Franco Chavez; his former wife Elena "Helen" Gonzales; his wife Deloris of Gainesville, Texas; and his children, Johnny of Oak Point, Luis (Debi) of Palmhurst, Steven of Sanger, Macario G. of Denton and Beatrice Chavez of Moriarty. He was also cherished by twelve grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
