He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Leverett and Virgie Lee Leverett (Jarmen); and his brothers, Bill Leverett, PeeWee Leverett and Bob Leverett.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Leverett of Collinsville; his son Jamie Chance Leverett of Spicewood; his grandsons, Justin and Austin; his son Derek Stobaugh (Kim) of Rosston; his grandsons, Mason and James; and his sister-in-law Mary Houston of Whitesboro. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
