She was predeceased by: her parents, Casimiro Cipriano and Frances Ruiz (James Byas); and her siblings, John Torres, Salvador Torres, Gloria Lunt, Teresa Avila, Guadalupe Mundo and Jolinda Lopez.

She is survived by: her spouse James Byas; her children, Robert Daniel Byas of Van Alstyne, James David Byas of Dallas and Cynthia Underwood (Roger) of Collinsville; and her brother-in-law Gary Hill of Fort Worth. She is also survived by five grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
