He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Rutledge and Opal Rutledge; and his wife Barbara Gale Rutledge (Miller). He is survived by: his children, Tandy Girouard (Rutledge) of Bedford, Texas, Debra Lucas (Greg) of Huntsville, Alabama, John Rutledge of Mansfield, Texas, James Rutledge (Jamie) of Texarkana, Arkansas and Charles Rutledge (Darlene) of Pensacola, Florida.; his grandchildren, Michael Girouard, Christopher Girouard (Chesney), Kaneissa Pairett (David), Kristine Massey (Bryan), Chelsea Lucas, Ryan Romero (Rutledge), Rena' Hartley (Chris), Chad Harold, Sierra Stephens (Rutledge), Taylor Rutledge (Samantha), Tyler Rutledge (Macey), Piper Rutledge, Jaylynn Rutledge, Joyce Rutledge, Carina Rutledge, Amber Rutledge, Brooke Rutledge and Charles Rutledge; his brother Dale Rutledge of Sinton; his nieces and nephews, Darren Rutledge (Kathy) and Connie Beck (Josh); his sister Sue Rutledge Littleton (Al Littleton) of Houston; his niece Charlene Littleton (Jim Brown); and his nephew Troy Littleton. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
