He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Ober and Alice Sears; and his siblings, Juanita Jackson, Geneva Teague and Pete Ober.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Ober of Colleyville; his sons, Charles Ober of Longview, John Ober of Willis and Greg Clayton of Bedford, Texas; his grandchildren, Charley Ober, Justin Ober and Allison Clayton; and his sisters, Marie Fenton of Longview and Patsy Chittenden of Las Vegas. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
