He is survived by: his wife Patrica Gaye Dubose Marti; his children, Christopher David Marti, Robert Jesse Marti (Heather) and Keira Elisabeth Marti; his children-in-law, Kimma Troup and Jack Weeks; his daughter Katherine Victoria Mock (Adam); his grandchildren, Trevor Robert Marti and Madelei Yvonne Marti; his brother Robert Louis Marti (Sherry Lynn); his niece Victoria Nicole Beavers; his great-nephew Jacob Nathaniel Beavers; his niece Jessica Michelle Broome; his great-nieces, Briana Justine Marti, Michelle Rene Marti and Mia Elizabeth Marti; and also Greyson Robert Beavers.
He earned a National Science Foundation scholarship to Stanford for his Master of Science degree..
