She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Raymond Sr. and Lydia Mehrtens Buck; her husband Arthur Bright; her siblings, Raymond Buck Jr. and Bliss Buck Wolfe; her great grandchild Connor Mahlmann; her daughters, Janice Attaway (Emmitt) of College Station and Kathy Symank (Doug) of College Station; her grandchildren, Jaclyn Symank Mahlmann (Michael) of Corpus Christi, TX, Christel Attaway Garcia (Gabriel) of Cypress, TX. and Emmitt Dean Attaway (Holly) of New Boston, TX; her great grandchildren, Spencer Mahlmann, Chrissly Garcia, Addeline Garcia, Brightly Garcia, Gunnar Attaway and Hallie Attaway; and her siblings-in-law, Dick Wolfe and Alice Buck. She was also cherished by numerous nephews and nieces, and extended family.

To honor both Myra and Art, the Raintree Homeowners Association renamed the Raintree Park to the Art and Myra Bright Park in 2015 to recognize their generous donation of time and resources to several community organizations.
