“Monique was my first college roommate; TAMU Fall of 1982. Poor Monique, she really got the short end of the stick. I was very immature and most likely made her dorm life miserable, although she never said so. She lived her faith. It took me a few years to appreciate her, but I did, I do, and I am grateful that she had remained a part of my life. Thank you, Monique, for not giving up on me and for setting a great example! I will miss you and your clever Christmas letters. RIP dear one!”
