He was predeceased by : his parents, Elnora Tarver and Cyrus Tarver; his sisters, Constance Tarver and Shirley Lockhart; and his son Drake Washington.

He is survived by : his wife Mary Tarver; his children, Shareeica Roberts (Charles), Delman Tarver (Tracy) and Deon Washington (Danette); his grandchildren, Charles Roberts Jr., Sydney Roberts, Levi Tarver, Bryce Tarver, Shyene Tarver, Bobby Portillo, Amanda Portillo, Jamie Portillo and Joey Portillo; and his brothers, John Tarver (Lela) and Sharone Tarver (Sheila). He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
