She was predeceased by: her husband J. Lee Simpson; and her mother Sarah Pauline "Polly" Conner. She is survived by: her siblings, Nettie Autry, Barbara Jacobs and Coleman C. Conner; her granddaughter Rain Simpson; and her children, Willie Jay Simpson, Paul Simpson, Joseph Simpson, David Simpson and Sarah "Leigh" Buchanan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
