She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Leonard Steffey and Annie Kelley Steffey; her husband Robert Lee Barkemeyer; and her daughter Linda Sue Day. She is survived by: her sons, Johnny Barkemeyer (Julie) of Glen Cove and Robert Lee Barkemeyer, Jr. of Salado; and her grandchildren, Talena Faries, Morgan Self, Blanton Barkemeyer and Kesha Ballard. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested in memory of Thelma to a charity of the donor's choice, or to do a kind deed for a neighbor in need.
