He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwin Carl Curtis and Mary Oneita Miller Curtis; his brother Carl Curtis; his half-sisters, Margaret Talley and Eddie Leonard; and his niece Darlene Talley.
He is survived by: his brother James M. Curtis of Coleman; his half-brother Barry Curtis of League City; his nieces and nephews, Elgin Knox Talley, Louise Talley, John Talley, Ricky Talley, Emily Permenter, Janet Miller, Martin Wells, Raymond Wells, Jason Curtis, Jeremy Curtis, Joseph Curtis and John Winston Curtis; and his cousins, Edwin Dyer of San Antonio and James Miller of Austin.
