He is survived by: his significant other Nina Childress of Coleman, Texas; his children, Reggie Childress (Naomi) of Tomball, Texas, Michael Childress (Delma) of San Angelo, Rickey Payne (Regina) of Bangs, Texas and Karen Ditto Johnson (Olson) of Las Vegas, NV; his siblings, Anthony Childress (Maggie) of San Antonio, Texas, Helen Cummings of Long Beach and Hermia Jean Brown of Long Beach, California.; his uncle Red; and his brother Coach. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
