He was predeceased by: his parents, Jackson Lee Murphy and Annie Lucille Robinson Murphy; and his uncle Frank Robinson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Murphy of Coleman; his children, Gary Murphy II (Kanittha Namnok) and Johnna Phillips (Berry) of Coleman; his grandchildren, Zoe Murphy, Tatiyanna Murphy, Shannon Phillips, Cody Phillips, Taylor Phillips (Brittney) and Blair Phillips; his great grandchildren, Kaeden, Kinsler, Harlow and Archie; his brother Raymond Eugene Murphy (Carol); and his sisters-in-law, Ramona Murphy and Sue Murphy.
The family kindly requests no flowers. Memorials are requested to the Brown Trail School of Preaching at 1801 Brown Trail, Bedford, Texas 76021.
