He is survived by: his children, Edward Lee Simms, Jr. of Palestine, Timothy Wayne Simms (Jennifer) of Neches, Corey Daniel Simms of Neches and Tammy Laverne Simms (Christopher Burfield) of Brownwood. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
