He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Frank and Inez Griffin; his wife Mary Buford Griffin; and his sons, Bobby Wayne Griffin, Paul Lynn Griffin and Brett Dwayne Griffin.
He is survived by: his children, Bill Deen (Bullwhip), Karen Griffin, Dana Yancy, Tracy and James Ryan; and his siblings, Jesse Griffin, Kenneth Griffin and Nancy Blevins. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
