He was predeceased by: his son David "Bubba" Lloyd Copeland Jr.; his parents, Alice Mae Copeland and J. W. Copeland; his brother John Copeland; and his parents-in-law, Johnnie Halle and Jack Halle.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Copeland; his daughters, Julie Louise Sproul, Carolyn Sue Quiroga (Hoss) and Christy Lou Courville (John); his grandchildren, Casey, Corey, David, Tyler, Jennifer, Abby, Amber, Emily, Alexis, Noah and Corina; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Miles, Violet, Caleigh, Cody Jr., Alice Mae, Carolyn, Rachel, Rebecca, Emma, Allie and Autumn; his sisters, Carolyn Brummett (Darrell) and Martha Gillett (Steve); and his brother-in-law Hugh Halle (Paula).
