He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Jones and Pauline Jones (Payne). He is survived by: his wife Kathy Jones of Clyde; his sons, Doug Jones (Debbie) of Seaford, Steven Jones of Abilene, Joe Bryan Underwood (Norma) of Carlsbad, David Underwood (B. J.) of Eula and Cory Jones of Abilene; his siblings, John Kirby (Cheryl) of Ohio and Gayle Friga of Dripping Springs; his grandchildren, Denae, Abby, Kian, Kaden, Nicole, Brently, Liam, Weston, Brett, Brittanae and Kody; and his close friends, Ron Eudy of Cisco and Danny Drury of Abilene. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bailey Howard Funeral Home (105 Oak St, Clyde, TX 79510). The military honors was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery (7457 W Lake Rd, Abilene, TX 79601).
