With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joanne James of Clyde, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Joanne left this world on March 18, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Taylor and Sue Taylor (Chambers); her husband Don Edward James; her grandson Jeremy Don James; her brother Robert Taylor; and her great grandchild Emily Jo Kimmel.
She is survived by: her sons, Joe Don James (Tracey) of Crockett and Paul James (Jeri) of Clyde; her grandchildren, Vanessa Bailey, Joshua James, Jacob James, Ashley Pickering, Sarah Pickering, Misti Stulsky, Ashley Smith and Jennifer Kimmel; and her great grandchildren, Remington, Kennedy, Kashton, Korin, Katelynn, Mikey, Jackson, Atlas and Barrett. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Bailey-Howard Funeral Home (105 Oak St, Clyde, TX 79510). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery (7457 W Lake Rd, Abilene, TX 79601).
