He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jimmie Mae Smith and Elmo George Smith; his siblings, Burt Smith and Edith Smith; his son John Wilkins; his stepdaughter Tina; and his grandchildren, Gregory Benefield, Johnathon Lira, Kora Wilkins and Clayton Wilkins. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
