He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Burgess and Carrie Burgess; and his wife Doris. He is survived by: his sons, Dennis Mark of Clyde, Terry Allan of Fort Worth and Richard Lynn of Lewisville; his sister Bennie Carolyn of Bedford, Texas; his granddaughter Brandi Starr Burgess of Cleburne; and his great grandchildren, Makya Renee and Zander Allan of Oceanside, California..

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Clyde City Park.
