He is survived by: his wife Jodie Carter; his son Jacob Sauer; his mother Jan Carter (Abilene); his mother-in-law Theda Gandy (Tahoka); his stepmother-in-law Sonya Stanley (Lubbock); his siblings, Rusty Boren (Abilene) and James Ley Cloud (Tahoka); his brother-in-law Kasen Stanley (Lubbock); and his nieces and nephews, Aaron Duboise (Tahoka), Caleb Boren (Abilene), Michael McNeil (Lubbock), Jason Boren (Abilene), McKayleigh McNeil (Lubbock), Copeland Cloud (Lubbock), Morgan Duboise (Lubbock) and Mallory Duboise (Lubbock).
