He is survived by: his wife Verna Mae Malone; his children, Glenda Bates, Keith O'Neal Malone, Ebony Angel Malone, James Arthur Malone, Samuel Lee Malone and Debra Denise Malone; his brother Larry Ellotta Layman of Freeport, TX; and his nephew Marcus Roy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
