With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lilian Hockensmith (Clute, Texas), who passed away on April 23, 2020 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James U. Long and Josie DeWeese Long; her sister Geneva Stewart; her niece Delores Stewart; her brothers, Milburn Long (Florence) and James Long (Pat); her daughter Lilli Yvonne Herrington; her parents-in-law, John Henry and Lula Hockensmith; and her sister-in-law Wilma LaGasse.
She is survived by: her spouse E. T. Hockensmith; her children, Eldon T. Hockensmith (Eva) and Eldona Menefee (Larry); and her grandchildren, Charles, Yvonne (Jordan), Mendi, Nicole, Ann (Jon), Brian (Vanessa), Courtney (Josh) and Bianca Hockensmith. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; and 8 nieces and nephews.
