He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Filiberto "Pine" Chapa Jr. and Estella Chapa (Perez) of Brownsville; his sister Celina Chapa Perez; his wife Deyanira Chapa (Duarte) of Clute; his son Christian Jaime Chapa; his brother Gerardo Chapa (Linda) of Brownsville; and his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Rodriguez (Cecilio), Miriam Duarte, Osvaldo Duarte (Nicole) and Guadalupe Duarte (Josefina). He was also cherished by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
