He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac Douglas Steamer Sr. and Lillie Mae Edwards; his stepfather Henry L. Edwards Sr.; and his brother James "Bubba" Steamer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Faye Steamer of Clute, TX; his children, Kelvin Steamer (Stacey) and Teresa Steamer-Allen (Ronnie); his siblings, Julia K. Williams, Earlean Phillips, Judy Colbert-Taylor, Henry Edwards (Rosemary), Marvin Edwards (Stephanie), Samuel Edwards Sr. (Diane) and R. J. Mickey Steamer; and his grandchildren, Kisha Sanchez, Ryan Steamer, Nathan Young, Jr., Shawntall Jordan, Christian Allen and Kasmin Steamer. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
