With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances (Byrd) Atkinson of Clute, Texas, born in Joplin, Missouri, who passed away on August 18, 2021 at the age of 78. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Frances (Byrd) Atkinson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Talmadge L. Byrd and Elizabeth Grace Bigley (Ross); her son Gale Dion Hayes; and her siblings, Tommy Byrd, Lyn McCoy, Georgia Fletchall and Dorothy Phillips.
She is survived by: her former spouses, B. Gale Hayes and Kenneth E. Atkinson; her children, Ralph Benjamin Atkinson (Shelly) of Princeton, Texas, Sheila Ruth Hayes of Plano, Tammara Sue Alwaked (Waked) of Garland and Kenbra Lynn Deere (Steve) of Belton, Missouri; her brother James Byrd (Gail) of South Hutchinson, KS; and her friend Candy Beadel. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
Not surprisingly, her last loving gift was organ/tissue donation, wherein up to 50 recipients will be blessed.
