She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Clinton and Anna Pointer; her spouse J. O. Shiflet; her son Harvey Benford Shiflet; her grandson Christopher Shiflet; her daughter-in-law Sherry Shiflet; and her siblings, J. C., Harvey Pointer, Harty Lawson, Katie Small and Edna Hughes.

She is survived by: her sons, Joe Shiflet of Richwood, Earl (Robbie Shiflet), Kenneth (Rhonda Shiflet) and Melvin (Connie Shiflet); and also Kathy Quinn. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and their spouses; 8 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
