He was predeceased by: his parents, Fanny May and Joseph VanderLaan. He is survived by: his wife Donna Swift VanderLaan; his sons, Chris and Jason (Jennifer); his granddaughter Jayci Hirt; and his sisters, Mary Thacker and Sally Stewart. He is also survived by other relatives and close friends.
