She was predeceased by: her parents, Jackson Sowell and Mozelle Sowell (Brooks); her grandchildren, Matthias "Wolfie" Culp and Keith Culp; and her siblings, Charles Sowell, A. L. Sowell and Kathleen Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Dajin Culp of Waco, Waymon Culp of Whitney and Michelle Hill (Larry) of Aquilla; her grandchildren, Dajin "Dee" Culp, Lisa Demorest of Frost, Tivy Culp, Luis Pizana of Kyle, Nathan, Kerri Brackenridge, Laurie and David Nunez; and her brother Jimmy Ray Sowell (Margie). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
