He was predeceased by: his parents, Simmie Whetstine and Lucille Whetstine; and his siblings, Sam Whitstine, R. C. Whitstine, Cleveland Whitstine of Jimmy Whetstine, R. J, R. L. Whetstine, Kenneth Whetstine, Vernie Miller, Ruby Langley and Brenda Belgard.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy Whetstine of Cleveland, Texas; his children, Jeff Whetstine (Aimee) of Lake Charles, Tito Garcia of South Carolina, Michael Garcia of Cleveland, Brad Garcia (Angel) of Cleveland, Texas and Julie Richard (Steven) of Basile; his siblings, Alvin Whetstine of Glenmora, Gerald Whetstine of Glenmora and Evelyn Longphre of Glenmora; his grandchildren, Jacob Geisendorff, Mia Talbot, Rachel Gorman, Malcolm Whetstine, Emily Guillory and Dalton Garcia; and his great grandchildren, Ellie Gorman, Ava Gorman and Bradley Gorman.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Rush Funeral Home - Oakdale (113 S 11th St, Oakdale, LA 71463). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
