He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Eason and Amber Wallace Eason; his wife Mary Helen Eason; his grandson Blake Eason; and his siblings, Phyllis Eason, Helen Sumrall, Milton Eason and Jake Eason.

He is survived by: his son Norris Melvin Eason, Jr. (Terrie); his sisters, Mary Hinson and Diana Johnson; and his brother-in-law Jerrell Jolley. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
