It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Powell (Cleveland, Texas), who passed away on February 3, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Eugene Powell and Gladys Murie Kelley Powell; his sister Greta Ann Barnett; the mother of his children Ginnie Cope Powell; and his daughter Kim Gillen.
He is survived by: his children, Michelle Powell Conner (Steven), Jennifer Marie Powell and David "Bubba" Gillen; his siblings, David Powell and Mildred Benton; and his grandchildren, Reno Conner (Laila Hart), Cauy Conner, Taylor League, Charli Powell, Josh Gatlin (Desiree) and Christy Mayon Stoneberger (Cody). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and special friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cleveland - Pace-Stancil Funeral Home (303 E Crockett St, Cleveland, TX 77327). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pace-Stancil Chapel (303 E Crockett St, Cleveland, TX 77327).
