He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Burton and Nannie Burton; and his sister Norine Blum. He is survived by: his children, Richard Burton (Sue), Rhonda Wuerch (Myles) and Renee Rice (Dwayne); his brothers, Howard Burton (Irene) and Charles Burton (Barbara); his grandchildren, Blake Burton, Devon Adams (Bo), Winston Rice (Kim), Taylor Miller (Liz), Whitney Ontiveros (Charlie), Jacob Miller, Cole Miller, Winter Rice, Walker Rice and Jessica Morgan (Adam); and his great grandchildren, Bryce, Avery, Raylee, Emma, Cody, Kimber, Dawson, Cas, Eva Kate, Trigger, Tenley, Bailey, Dennis, Little Charlie and Cassius.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pace-Stancil Chapel (303 E Crockett St, Cleveland, TX 77327). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Plum Grove Cemetery (155 County Rd 345, Cleveland, TX 77327).
