She was predeceased by: her parents, Elbert Enzor Pate and Mary Evelyn Pate (Barnett); her husband David Earl Simmons; her son James Alvin Isaacks; and her siblings, Delbert, Leo, David Pate and Laverne Tirey.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Manrrique (Moise), Timothy Louis Isaacks and Luther Gene Isaacks (Bridgett); her siblings, Cleo Pate, Eddie Pate (Dorothy), Ike Pate (Martha), Carolyn Bland, Marie Lowe and Ruth Pate; her grandchildren, Joshua McCown (Alexandra Brock), Justin Holder (Vanessa), James Ray Isaacks (Taylor), Mary Ann Schipula, Michael, Tylor Gene Isaacks and Leeann Kay Isaacks; and her great grandchildren, Zariah, Layla, Kyrie and Lily.
