We are sad to announce that on March 4, 2021, at the age of 85, John Amyx Sr. of Cleveland, Texas, born in Plainview, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Amyx and Grace Amyx; his daughter Debra Kathleen Amyx; and his brothers, Don Amyx and Bob Amyx.

He is survived by: his wife Lydia Amyx; his children, John Amyx, Jr., Kim Amyx-McMillan (Trey) and David Amyx; his grandchildren, Tabitha Johnson (Cooper), Jonathan Emmons (Holly) and Victoria Paschal (Aden); his great grandchildren, Levi Johnson, Ty Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Haydin, Brayden Kennedy, Abigail Emmons, Kassidy Emmons, Aurora Paschal and Halley Paschal; and his siblings, Walter Amyx and Lynelle Legg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
