He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Herbert Whitmire and Vera Eugene Lay Whitmire; his wife Juanita Ray Whitmire; his sons, David Bryant Stidham and Mark Windsor Whitmire; his siblings, Horce Whitmire, Herbert Easley Whitmire, Oscar Nolan Whitmire, John Vance Whitmire, Vera Beatrice Hollaway, Dorthy Lee Whitmire, Helen Lorene Smith and Virginia Ann Wells; his son Paul Whitmire; his sisters-in-law, Margie Whitmire and Geneva Whitmire; and his grandchildren, Holly, Crystal, Kimberly, Ely, Donnie and Austin.
