He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Smith and Josephine Jeffcoat Smith; and his siblings, Mike Smith, Edward Smith and Margeret Cherry.
He is survived by: his wife Minnie Smith; his children, Donna Smith-Minton, Theresa Libby (David), Margeret Gummow (Greg) and Edward Smith (Robin); and his siblings, Alfred Smith (Martha) and Faye Smith. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
