It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Esther Mae McLendon (Cleveland, Texas), born in Galveston, Texas, who passed away on February 16, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Bertha Couch Dyck; her sister Thelma Heeth; and her grandchildren, Katie Mae Helen Hughes and Billy Joe Hughes. She is survived by: her spouse D. J. Mc Lendon; and her children, Wesley Simpson (Cyndi), Michael Simpson (Pam), Cynthia Barton (Jimmy), Rebecca Knoles (Rick) and Ella Neutzler (Jay). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project or UNICEF.
