He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Ferguson and Oree Clarence Smith; his wife Linda Carol Griffin; the mother of his children Linda Joyce Griffin; and his siblings, Alice Williams, Robert Ferguson, Ray Griffin Jr. and Ronnie Griffin.
He is survived by: his children, Sonya Griffin (Christi), Sande Ishee (David) and Bubba Griffin (Lisa); his stepsons, Shane Knight and Terry Knight; and his grandchildren, Corbin Griffin, Chance Griffin, Johnny Rust, Cole Ishee, Logan Ishee, Chyanne Knight, Blake Knight, Nicole Knight, Callie Knight, Trent Knight, Taylor Knight and Ty Sweeten. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
