He is survived by: his parents, Deborah Holifield of Cleveland and Joe Whitehead of Huntsville; his wife Kittie Whitehead; his brother Billy Joe Whitehead of Cleveland; his grandmother Ann Holifield of Cleveland; his uncles, Wayne Whitehead (Debra) of Hull, Charles Whitehead (Debra) of Trinity, Melvin Ray Holifield (Jackie) of Cleveland and Micah Holifield of Cleveland; and his aunt Evelyn Lawrence (Dane) of Livingston.
