He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Oppel and Jo Oppel; and his brother Jim Oppel. He is survived by: his wife Dian Oppel; his daughters, Melanie Facer (Scot), Stephanie Ryer (Mark) and Valerie Day (Clayton); his grandchildren, Emmersen, Lane, Madden, Aubrynn, Kendall, Slade and Stone; and his brothers, Ray Oppel (Susan) and Jack Oppel (Patty).
