He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Harwell and Nell Harwell; and his brother Curtis Harwell. He is survived by: his children, Kristina Morse, Guy of Cleburne, Billy Harwell of Malone, April Harwell of Cleburne and Adam Harwell of Cleburne; his brothers, Thomas Earl Harwell, Michael Harwell and Raymond Harwell; his grandchildren, Nakana Bowling, Trenton Wade and Marilyn Krichick; and his great grandchildren, Ezra Ingram, Layla Adolf and Sharla Sue Cudd.

Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home (512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel (512 N Ridgeway Dr, Cleburne, TX 76033). A burial was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at the Rio Vista Cemetery.
