She was predeceased by: her parents, Toliver Thomas and Beulah Barger (Maples); her son Toliver Carson; her granddaughter Angelah Carson; and her siblings, Thomas Barger, Henrietta Carlock, Wilmarine Lancaster, Charlotte Evans and Doris Stanley.
She is survived by: her husband Joe B. Carson, Sr.; her children, Joe B. Carson, Jr., Patricia Annette White and Susan Raynette Gore; and her grandchildren, Tabitha, Tommy, Tiffany, Josh, April and Heather. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
