He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Tarver and Cristina Tarver (Ramfield); and his siblings, Claude Tarver Jr., Mildred Tarver, Ollie Tarver of James Tarver, C. A and Johnnie Tarver.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Palermo-Tarver; his children, Kevin Tarver, Emma Tarver Quinones (Joshua) and Austin Ray Tarver; and his grandson Alec Tarver. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
