He was predeceased by: his parents, Manford Lewis, Sr. and Marietta Ford Sandefur; his wife Dixie Faye Redwine; his sisters, Sylvia Spiva, Billie Griswell and Linnie Mae Sandefur; and his children, Sharon Kay Sandefur Williams and Alan Scott Sandefur.
He is survived by: his son Michael Dean Sandefur (Dona); his grandchildren, Laura Pruitt Sandefur, Paul Sandefur and Scott Sandefur; his great grandchildren, Alex Pruitt, Kindley Sandefur, Reagan Sandefur and Payton Sandefur; his brother Don; his sister-in-law Marie Redwine; his nephews, Dr. John Griswell, Jr. (Lynn), Paul Griswell (Karen) and Dr. David Griswell (Sergio Jimenez); and his niece Linda Spiva.
